Installation strategy for live highway and rail corridors

When the work window is measured in hours, handling characteristics stop being a convenience and become the schedule.

In a live corridor, the constraint is almost never the wall. It is the window: the lane closure, the track outage, the flagging plan, the community agreement about night work.

Inside that window, cycle time per panel governs production. Every step that requires a larger machine, a second pick, or a larger crew reduces the linear feet completed per shift.

Lighter panels change the arithmetic. They widen the set of placement methods available, reduce the equipment footprint inside the work zone, and make it more practical to work in short, repeatable cycles.

They also change maintenance. A system that can be repaired or replaced panel-by-panel keeps future work inside the same short windows rather than requiring a full section rebuild.
